MOS 352P—Voice Intercept Technician
Voice Intercept Technician (MOS 352P) Description / Major Duties:
Conducts, manages, and gives operational direction for use of IEW personnel and equipment. Performs site selection of OPSEC quality control for deployed EW assets. Ensures voice intercept operators follow established procedures and techniques. Supervises intercept, transcription, and translation of designated foreign communications. Advises commanders and staff officers on the employment, deployment, and utilization of voice intercept personnel. Defines and advises the commanders on unit level foreign language program.
Other Requirements for Award of MOS 352P
- MI Proponent is NOT accepting Non-MI MOS feeder applicants for 352P.
- Must be a SGT (E-5) or above.
- Have successfully completed the 35P producing course.
- Graduate of the 35P Advance Leadership Course (ALC), formerly known as BNCOC.
- Have a minimum of four years operational experience in MOS 35P in at least two assignments.
- Have a minimum of three (3) NCOERs that reflect outstanding and exceptional duty performance ratings as a 35P. It is recommended applicants wait for their most recent finalized NCOER prior to application submission. The most recent NCOER provided cannot exceed 12 months from the date the WO Application is submitted. Applicants WILL submit all NCOERS regardless of duty position or duty MOS for review by the MI WO Proponent and Accession Board.
- Applicants must be qualified in the accessed foreign language identified by the DA Language Office. Applicants must submit a Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) of R2/L2 verified on the DA Form 330 taken within the past twelve month upon WO Accession application submission. Individual applicants who do not possess at least one of the required DA foreign languages need not apply.
- Must have a current Top Secret clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) and must be currently eligible for access to sensitive compartmentalized information (SCI) prior to acceptance into the WOCS. Applicants requiring periodic reinvestigation (PR) must submit their PR paperwork prior to submitting a WO Accession Application.
- Successfully passed a CI Scope Polygraph in the last 5 years.
- Enclose a written Letter of Recommendation (LoR) from a senior 352P (CW3-CW5). If no senior 352P is available please contact Proponent for guidance/assistance.
